Description

I found this almost colorless Snowy Egret a nice contrast against a very colorful backdrop of salt marsh vegetation.

You have already given the most appropriate comment.
Really nice contrast between the bird and the environment.
Do not like that much the plant in the foreground.

nice compo and colours, I would maybe use the blur tool on the in focus plants :)

Please explain: "...w/ drop-in gelatin Circular Polarizer" :o

Wonderful in the wilderness capture! :)

Really enjoy the natural framing and the vivid colors contrasting to the pure whites on the birdy! ;)

Very good capture of the bird with perfect focus on the head. Nice colors! I find the large amount of blurred areas somewhat distracting although it works to isolate the subject from the background. I'm surprised at the limited DOF at 560mm especially as the subject must be a distance away at that focal length. Was a blur added to the photo? I'm confused... :)
A good image regardless.

You cannot tell from the angle but the blurred parts of the background and foreground are caused simply by varied distances of the plants and a high aperture creating a shallow DOF. No Photoshop blurring was used here. I probably should have used a lower aperture but I guess I was so concerned that this bird would fly away that I didn't at the time to take several photos at various apertures. In fact, the bird was here only for a few seconds. Thank you for your comments people.

Nice shot Michelle. A bit oversaturated for my taste.
