Description
This female American Rubyspot (Hetaerina americana) is dressed in reds ... unusual in the Damselfly family. Most are shades of blue. She sat quietly on a leaf over a clear cool trout stream. I got my feet wet (and my knees and thighs) while taking this photo which actually felt soothing as it was a very warm and humid day.Canon 5D Mark ll

Looks like it is floating in the air.

When resting....Damselfly will keep the wings folded above the body and dragonflies will expand their wings....isn`t that right?
