Description
Another of a series of macros of a Northern Water Snake I encountered recently. Often, this species appears very dark to all black as its skin is stained by the murky water in which it lives. This snake resides in Carr's Pond which features crystal clear water. All of the naturally vibrant colors are revealed.A full sized version is linked below.
