Description
I did an entire photo shoot of this group of fungi which may be Lacrymaria velutina. I'm not sure. Light conditions changed constantly as clouds moved by quickly. Photos were taken at various aperture and exposure settings using a Canon 180mm Macro lens.A larger version is linked below. Use the slideshow feature to see the full-sized image.

I agree its a little too dark. A little play with the shadow/highlight might get it perfect.
As for the DOF: I'd go either lower or higher aperture to get the further one either in full focus, or more blurred.
Very pleasant to look at. Well taken!
