... and no bite!This insect might look dangerous and that it could produce a painful sting but in fact it is a species a fly. It's called a Yellow Jacket Hoverfly. It has evolved to mimic Yellow Jackets in order to ward off potential predators. In my opinion it does a good job! I thought it was a species of wasp until I looked it up on BugGuide.net. It's Latin name is Milesia virginiensis and is quite harmless. It's feeding on the nectar of a wildflower called Buttonbush.

I am especially intrigued to that face. It looks so artificial for somehow... maybe because such flys don't exist where I live ^_^

The background is slightly distracting (maybe you could darken it using layers and some PS tweaking?)
Still renders +10 (and more). Wish I could ever get the same clarity as you get in your close-up shots of insects...
