Description

A dock which at one time extended to the water is now only a remnant of it's former self. Likely is was destroyed by one of the many hurricanes that have crossed our path over the many years. It stands as a reminder of those storms to many who have stood and stared out over the sea.

Perspective leads eye along worn away dock into calm waters, which probably was reversed prior storm abuse.

Very good B&W my friend :)
I like the lonely abandoned feel.
Very classic work.
I might increase the blacks a tiny bit, just a thought.

Gr8 shot Michelle, nice Grey zones !! The mood is captured so well here, it tells a lot of stories by itself.
The composition is simply brilliant, the eye is lead in so well, first by the displaced part of the dock & then the rest which has survived. Then onto the pleasing vast sea.
Just love this. top marks !!!

Very nice composition and tonality. I'd prefer more wide angle, more space around... but just my feel...

I would have personally left more space to the left to give more feeling for where one would look while on this dock. Great timing with the wave in the distance and for some reason I am drawn to the stick on the dock. It adds contrast with the posts. Beautiful.
8/10
